Minutes from the May 4, 2003 meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report - John Kostoff
For the period May 4, 2003 – July 20, 2003:
Total Expenses = $731.04
Total Deposits = $50.00
Ending Balance (checking account) = $1,704.79
Other funds:
Certificate of Deposit = $6,609.31
Total Cash on Hand = $8,314.10
Anticipated expenditures:
Treasurer's report was approved as presented. It was moved and seconded to withdraw interest from the certificate of deposit and deposit it into the checking account.
Vice President’s Report – Gerry Spry
Gordon Spink and Bill Sachs will work with Gerry Spry to make a connection with the Arts & Letters Development Office. They will develop a strategic plan regarding fund-raising.
President’s Report – Jim McCaffrey
September 6 schedule:
Executive Secretary’s Report – Beryl Falcone
New membership card was approved.
500 tie tacks and 50 charms were ordered ($1,500) and will be shipped the first week of August.
Schedule for September 6 will be mailed out soon.
As of July 19, 95 people have registered for Fall Alumni Band Day.
Alumni Band Golf Outing Update – Dale Bartlett
It was requested and passed that the board provide $100 for prizes for this year's outing on September 5. As of July 19, 25 or 26 people have registered.
Alumni Band European Trip Update – Dale Bartlett
There is room for a few more musicians. Need tuba and flute players.
Luncheon meeting at Beggar's Banquet 11:30 - 1 on September 6.
Refunds will be given to those who have already paid for the box lunch who will be at the luncheon.

Gordon Spink will contact Keith Williams regarding the status of the Alumni Band with MSUAA.
